Why start with HydroOne?

You get filtration and softening in one treatment vessel, plus a separate brine tank. For most households, it provides the right starting point without making room for a second treatment vessel.

HydroOne™

HydroOne™ combines whole-home filtration and ion-exchange softening in one treatment vessel, paired with a brine tank and a demand-metered control.

Configuration1 mixed-media vessel + brine tank
ControlDigital demand-metered valve
Filtration mediaCatalytic carbon + KDF
Softening media10% cross-linked resin
Centaur catalytic carbonReduces chlorine taste and odor, with faster chloramine breakdown than conventional activated carbon.
KDF process mediaTargets dissolved heavy metals and inhibits bacterial and algal growth within the media bed.
10% cross-linked Aldex resinRemoves hardness with greater resistance to oxidative wear than conventional 8% resin.
Graded support bedSupports the media and distributes water through the treatment bed.

HydroOne brings those materials together in a compact system. Catalytic carbon treats disinfectants, KDF supports the filtration bed, and durable resin removes hardness. The digital controller measures water use and runs regeneration when the softener needs it.

Component documentation: Centaur catalytic carbon is manufactured for potable-water chloramine and hydrogen-sulfide applications and complies with ANSI/AWWA B604. Aldex C-800x10 is a 10% cross-linked strong-acid cation resin. Actual media life depends on water quality, household use, flow, and maintenance. Component documentation does not certify the complete assembled system.

CHOSEN FOR LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE

Why we use this filter media.

We specify Centaur catalytic carbon, KDF, and 10% cross-linked Aldex resin because each contributes something different. Catalytic carbon handles chlorine and chloramines. KDF helps protect the carbon bed from biological fouling. The resin removes hardness and resists the oxidative wear that breaks down lower-cross-linked beads.

Reducing disinfectants before they reach the softening resin also helps protect it. The amount of media, contact time, and maintenance all matter, so we size and program the system for your home.

Service life varies with water chemistry, temperature, flow, use, and maintenance.

YOU CHOOSE. WE CHECK THE FIT.

Here’s what happens next.

Send your home details and photos with your order. We confirm the equipment, installation scope, and agreement with you. Payment or financing comes after approval, before installation.

Will it work at my home?

These packages are for city or utility water. Single-family homes, manufactured homes, and suitable townhomes can qualify. We check water-main access and installation space. We don’t offer these packages for private wells or condos.

Where will the equipment go?

The whole-home system connects where we can access the incoming water supply. Tell us your preferred location and send photos through the order form; we’ll confirm what’s practical. HydroSip goes under the kitchen sink, with a faucet above.

When do I pay?

Submitting your order doesn’t charge you. Our team reviews the home and installation scope, confirms the agreement, and arranges payment or financing before installation.

What will I need to maintain?

Keep salt in the brine tank and follow the maintenance schedule for your system. Regeneration runs automatically based on water use. HydroSip filters and its membrane have their own replacement schedule.
